As a kid, Nathalie would wear her mother's clothes and makeup, mimicking models and actresses on TV. She enjoyed writing scripts and choreographing dances to perform at family gatherings with her cousins. In early high school, Nathalie was introduced to the world of musical theater; it was love at first sight. One performance on stage was all it took for her to know that her professional career would somehow involve entertainment.
Knowing her generation is heavily influenced by social media, Nathalie decided to make that her forte while studying for her Bachelor's degree in Media Communication at Florida State University. She first gained a large following on Vine, for her unique, light-hearted view of the world in 6 seconds or less. Nathalie then discovered other marketable social media platforms, such as Model Mayhem and Instagram, that inspired her to move to Los Angeles in the pursuit of modeling, acting, and entertainment. She has since had the privilege of working with many talented photographers, designers, makeup artists, and filmmakers in Southern California who have been and continue to be a major highlight in her promising journey.
Along her journey, Nathalie discovered a new passion of hers that has bettered her life and career: fitness. She has always been a physically active person through dance and art but it wasn't until Summer of 2017 that she took her overall health and wellness to a new level. As a health and fitness influencer, Nathalie has been actively learning about nutritional diets and bodyweight workouts heavily influenced by the primal lifestyle. Her life-changing results inspired her to share her love and knowledge of well-being with the world, helping others meet their fitness goals and needs.
'Real Talk' with Nathalie
"For the longest time, my ultimate goal in life was to be a full-time film actor. Moving to LA to pursue that has been a big reality check for me. It's just as hard as everyone says it is. But I'm attracted to challenge. So I've been hustling with 6+ jobs in order to make enough money for rent/bills, gas, food, life, etc. while spending any leisure working on my art (which is a full-time job in itself). I've been doing that on and off for almost three years now and I've come to realize that it's nearly impossible to wholeheartedly commit to acting while spending so much energy on just surviving. So then I thought to myself, "Why am I sacrificing and hustling so much to pursue this one ambition? Why do I want to be an actor so badly?" I came up with the following 15 main reasons:
I love entertaining people.
I feel happiest and most comfortable on stage or in front of an audience or a camera.
I want to share laughter, hope, love, fear, and heartache with people through art.
I want to meet and be friends with Jim Carrey.
I want to be a role model for people and set a good example for future generations.
I want to be the voice for people who are afraid to speak their mind in real-life situations.
I want to raise awareness of important controversies, charities, human rights, different lifestyles, and products I firmly believe in.
I want to make/earn enough money to live comfortably and take care of my family and friends.
I want to be my own boss.
I want to give back to the community with my time and money.
I want to surround myself and work with like-minded people.
I want to take life and career risks.
I want to take advantage of my versatility.
I never want to stop learning or giving.
I don't want to settle for anything less than genuine happiness.
Writing these down gave me the answer I've been looking for. I thought having a career as an A-list celebrity would be the only way I could reach a large audience to accomplish all of these things, but it doesn't have to be the only way. To be clear, I'm not giving up on acting, I am simply unlimiting myself and considering the idea of multiple careers in the same genre consisting of similar aspirations and opportunities. Society says I can't have more than one ambition, I say society is wrong. & I encourage you to do the same! If you're struggling between becoming a musician or a lawyer, why not be both?! Don't limit yourself! & make time for who and what you love, otherwise you're just breathing without living."
